A miniature circular medal, the obverse bears a right facing bear walking on a wall, circumscribed with FUERCHTE GOTT UND BEFOLGE SEINE BEFEHLE (SAVE GOD AND OBEY HIS COMMANDS), the reverse centre is inscribed with FR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR (FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER), encompassed by an oak leaf wreath, with loop for suspension, measuring 14. 45 mm (w) x 16. 98 mm (h), very fine.
